Sexy new release Magic Mike is out this week and has been very popular especially with the ladies lining up to see it, including my girlfriends and I.
This very erotic movie tells the story of a famous stripper who takes in a young lad teaching him the lifestyle that every man dreams of; Money, women and a good time.
There was no real storyline to Magic Mike as it had numerous entertainments throughout, including the scenes the ladies are lining up for, as some of the hottest Hollywood stars are taking off their clothes exposing their sexy torsos and thrusting around in a tiny thong on stage! Channing Tatum may be the main man that every girl wants to see take his stuff off but there was a lot more eye candy in the film including Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer (Wild Child, Beastly), Mat Bomer (White Collar) and Joe Manganiello (the sexy wolf man from TRUE BLOOD!).
I was actually disappointed in Channing Tatum. My lord, he is one of god’s greatest creations but some of his stripping, wasn’t stripping. Therefore it didn’t satisfy me enough. I felt like he was breakdancing and I felt like I was watching some tacky Step Up movie. Thank god for his gorgeous back up dancers!
I thought the director’s techniques with the use of his camera were really creative mostly with the non-stripping scenes and there wasn’t much dialogue towards the plot, obviously, because there was no real story line. But it did represent how characters had changed over time (in a 3 month period) which I thought was clever. The movie flowed nicely.
I was really impressed with this movie. Not just the male strippers but also the outside of what was going on, which is incredibly difficult to explain as there was no story line and I don’t want to give too much away. I’m giving this movie a B-
