Hitz 247 is an internet radio station like no other. Sure, Hitz 247 plays some top 40 music and features lots of chat about the latest movies, gigs, tv shows and all that stuff but we also play lots of new music and talk about things that are important.
Best of all Hitz 247 doesn’t care how young you are. If you have a talent or a passion to get involved in radio and you’re under 30 years old we can give you the chance to be part of the Hitz team. For us it’s all about talent, not experience.

We listen to you
Here at Hitz 247 always wants to know what you like and what you dislike. Before we started Hitz 247 we launched BuildYourOwnRadioStation.org, a survey that went out to places like secondary schools and uni’s in Australia. The Build Your Own Radio Station survey told us what you like and dlslike about the stuff you have been listening to and the things you wanted us to do differently from other stations.
So Hitz 247 has been built from the ground up based on your feedback. And we want you to keep listening to us so we are going to keep asking you what you like and don’t like. But if we do something you don’t like or don’t do something you want us to do just contact us.
On 13 March 2012 the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal granted Hitz 247 an exemption from the operation of sections 16, 18, 44, 107 and 182 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic) to enable Hitz 247 to restrict on air participation to people aged 30 years and under.
